DHS_LogoOur Department serves as a collaborative hub for resources (Federal, State, Local, Private, and Non-Profit) designated to aid economically disadvantaged individuals and families in our community. There are several program areas within Human Services tailored to specific needs in order to better assist Lee County Residents. Care to VOLUNTEER?

FSS_LogoFamily Self-Sufficiency - Coordinates a variety of aid designed to assist individuals and families in need. Eligibility Specialists screen for available local resources and provide information & referral to other agencies. Those that are Homeless or at risk of becoming homeless should seek assistance immediately. Please click here to see a very special thank you letter from one of our clients.

Housing_LogoHousing Services - Focuses on substandard living conditions, offering a variety of affordable housing services designed to meet the needs of eligible low-income households. Services may include housing rehabilitation, emergency home improvement repairs, rehabilitation of renter-occupied housing, and home buyer down payment assistance.

NB_LogoNeighborhood Development - Linking physical planning, capital improvement and infrastructure projects with public service needs and social service delivery within economically disadvantaged areas of Lee County. This area also supports Accountability Boards, the Geographic Information System for the Department, and The Lee County Homeless Coalition.

Contracts_LogoContracts - This area facilitates the provision of human services to residents of Lee County through not-for-profit agencies.  The primary function is to ensure compliance with funding requirements through oversight, monitoring, and technical assistance.
